The course syllabi and methods of imparting training at the Academy strictly complies with the training guidelines laid down by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, which is the governing and supervising body for all maritime training activity in India. The Australian DWK program complies with the Australian Marine Orders Part 3 & Approved by Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Government of Australia .
Keeping in view the importance of marine safety and emphasis on maintaining cleaner and safer seas, the courses have been designed as per the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Code 1978 (as amended) as laid down by the International Maritime Organisation and MS (STCW) Rules 1998 as mentioned in META Vols. I & II as amended time to time. All these quality standards and certifications symbolise our commitment towards imparting a high quality and comprehensive maritime education to our trainees.
